Small Space Big Style | CA H+D Showcase House

A+D Architecture and Design Museum > Los Angeles is pleased to be the partnering non-profit organization with California Home + Design Magazine’s Small Space Big Style showcase event at The Hollywood, a luxurious condominium project designed by third generation architect and founder of A+D Museum , Stephen Kanner, FAIA.

With the aim of utilizing small spaces to their full potential, this showcase is both a display of today's best interior designs and a model for how creativity can be maximized, not limited, by square footage in an urban environment.

Showcase hours will run from September 14 to November 18 as scheduled:

Fridays | 10:00am to 2:00pm
Saturdays & Sundays | 10:00am to 3:00pm
Admission: $20

Eero Saarinen: A Reputation for Innovation

Saarinen is recognized today as one of the America’s most influential architects of the 20th Century. He has built numerous corporate, educational, cultural public and private buildings with such recognizable icons as the St. Louis Gateway Arch, the TWA terminal at JFK, and Dulles Airport.

This exhibition is a tribute to Saarinen’s short and brilliant career which was bookended with two iconic buildings: the Smithsonian Gallery of Art, a museum of modern art on the Mall which remained unbuilt and the nation’s first jet airport, Dulles International Airport which was completed one year after his death.

Eero Saarinen | Exhibition Opening Reception

Join A+D Museum in celebrating the opening of Eero Saarinen: A Reputation for Innovation. An open bar, live music and the Currywurst Foodtruck will be on site for enjoyment while guests view this new exhibition which serves as a tribute to Saarinen’s short and brilliant career. Special Membership Raffle: Become an A+D Museum Member at the exhibition opening reception and you will be entered to win an Eero Saarinen Laminate Tulip Side Table courtesy of Jules Seltzer Associates.

Urban Hike | Natural History Museum Gardens

Designed by Mia Lehrer + Associates and scheduled to open to the public in 2013, the 3.5 acre Natural History Museum gardens will be A+D's next destination for an Urban Hike Sunday October 28th at 11am. Led by the landscape architecture firm's very own project manager and principal Michelle Sullivan, guests are sure to gain special insight into these beautiful gardens.
